Digitizing Construction: Adoption Report in the AEC Industry

Digitizing Construction: Adoption Report in the AEC Industry

The construction industry is no stranger to change. Over the years, it has seen the introduction of new materials, technologies, and processes that have transformed the way we build. Today, digitizing construction is a major trend and opportunity for the industry to improve efficiency, productivity, and collaboration. From Building Information Modelling (BIM) to drones, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT), digital technologies are increasingly being adopted across the construction value chain.

To provide industry benchmarks for other markets throughout the Asia Pacific, Autodesk collaborated with Deloitte to research new trends impacting this sector and the level of technology adoption in Singapore, Australia, and Japan.

But what does this mean for the industry? How far along are we on this journey? And what are the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead? This report aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the state of digital adoption in the construction industry. We will examine the current state of play, the drivers and barriers to adoption, and the implications for key stakeholders such as owners, contractors, and suppliers.
